Terms of Service
Last updated October 27, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Hirbo ("we", "us"), and they apply to hirbo.com and the Hirbo software (together, "Hirbo"). "You" means the business that signs up for Hirbo and the people it lets use its account. By signing up for or using Hirbo, you agree to these terms. If you're agreeing for a business, you confirm that you're allowed to bind it.
1. What Hirbo is
Hirbo is software for repair shops: check-in, tickets, customer texts and emails, payments, inventory, mail-in repairs and related tools, with optional add-ons such as the phone add-on. Features may change over time. We'll tell you before we remove anything you're paying for.
2. Your account
You're responsible for your account and for everything done under it, including by your staff. Keep sign-in details private, give each person their own login, and tell us right away if you think someone got into your account without permission. You must give us accurate business information and keep it up to date.
3. Plans, prices and billing
- Plans are billed monthly or yearly, in advance, in U.S. dollars, plus any applicable taxes. Extra locations and add-ons are billed with your plan.
- Founding shops: the founding price stays the same for as long as your subscription continues without a break. If you cancel and come back later, current prices apply.
- There's no long-term contract. You can cancel any time, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. We don't give refunds or credits for partial months or unused time, except where the law requires it.
- We may change prices with at least 60 days' notice. A new price applies from your next billing period after the notice ends.
- If a payment fails, we'll let you know and retry. If it isn't resolved within 14 days, we may limit your account to read-only until it is. We won't delete your data for a late payment without warning you first.
4. Your data
Your business's data, including your customers' records, belongs to you. You give us permission to store, process and copy it only as needed to provide Hirbo, keep it secure and backed up, support you, and meet the law. We handle personal information as our Privacy Policy describes. You can export your data at any time. If your account closes, you have 30 days to export it, after which we delete it as our Privacy Policy describes. If we move your data in from other software for you, we'll do it carefully, but please check the results; we're not responsible for errors in the data we were given.
5. Your responsibilities
You're responsible for how your business uses Hirbo and for following the laws that apply to it. In particular:
- Texts. Text customers only with the consent the law and carriers require, honor STOP requests (Hirbo does this for you), and keep your business's text registration accurate.
- Call recordings. California and some other states require everyone on a call to agree before it's recorded. If you use call recording or the AI receptionist, you're responsible for telling callers and getting any consent that's required.
- Your terms and prices. You set your own repair terms, warranties, deposits, refund policies and prices, including those Hirbo quotes or shows to your customers, and you're responsible for them and for the sales tax you charge and file.
- Buying devices. If you buy used devices, you're responsible for the secondhand-dealer laws that apply to you, such as reporting and holding periods.
- Your customers' information. Tell your customers how you use their information, and keep it only as long as you need it.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use Hirbo to break the law, send spam or harassing messages, upload malware, try to get into other shops' data or our systems, interfere with Hirbo's operation, or copy, resell or reverse-engineer Hirbo. We may suspend accounts that put Hirbo, other customers or the public at risk. Where we can, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
7. Other companies' services
Hirbo connects to services you choose, such as card processors (for example Helcim or BlockChyp), phone and text carriers, email, shipping-label services and parts suppliers. Those services are provided by those companies under their own terms and prices, which are between you and them; for example, your phone lines are billed by your phone carrier, and card fees by your card processor. We're not responsible for those services or for problems they cause, but we'll help you sort them out where we can.
8. AI features
Some features, like the after-hours AI receptionist and call summaries, use AI. They can make mistakes, such as misunderstanding a caller or giving a wrong answer. The receptionist quotes from the prices you set. Please review recordings and summaries, and don't rely on AI output for anything critical without checking it.
9. Availability and support
We work hard to keep Hirbo running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may take it down briefly for maintenance and updates, at quiet hours when we can. We'll help with questions and problems by phone or email during business hours.
10. Our property and your feedback
Hirbo, including its software, design and name, belongs to us. These terms give you the right to use Hirbo while your subscription is active and nothing more. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
11. Disclaimers
Except as these terms say otherwise, Hirbo is provided "as is" and "as available," and to the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
12. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, neither you nor we will be liable to the other for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to Hirbo is limited to the amount you paid us for Hirbo in the 12 months before the claim arose. These limits don't apply to your payment obligations, to either side's fraud or willful misconduct, or where the law doesn't allow them.
13. Indemnity
You'll defend and pay for claims brought against us by third parties, including your customers, that arise from your business, your data or your breaking these terms or the law, such as texting without consent or recording calls without notice.
14. Ending the agreement
You can cancel any time. We can end or suspend your account if you seriously break these terms and don't fix the problem within 14 days of our notice, right away if needed to protect Hirbo or others or if the law requires it, or with 60 days' notice if we stop offering Hirbo. If we end your account for any reason other than your breaking these terms, we'll refund any prepaid time you haven't used. Sections 4, 10 to 13 and 15 continue after the agreement ends.
15. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by California law, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before going to court, we'll each try in good faith to settle any dispute by talking it through for 30 days. Any lawsuit will be brought in the state or federal courts in Alameda County, California, and you and we agree to those courts' jurisdiction.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you at least 30 days in advance by email or in Hirbo. If you keep using Hirbo after a change takes effect, the new terms apply. If you don't agree, you can cancel before then.
17. Everything else
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any order or plan you choose, are the whole agreement between us about Hirbo. If any part can't be enforced, the rest still applies. You can't transfer this agreement without our written consent; we may transfer it as part of a merger, reorganization or sale of Hirbo, including to a company formed to run Hirbo. Notices to you go to your account's email address.
